Bad Crash
Older folks(my age) did not grow up wearing seatbelts. It wasn't engrained in us to do so. Today, younger folks don't even think about it, they just "click it." So while tragic, it is not incomprehensible.

I actually see LOTS of people that don't wear their seatbelt and i NEVER understand it. Most people click their belt so the chime doesn't go off (in BMW's) and then just sit overtop the belt. Yes, really; i see it daily.

I feel bad for the guy's family because they have to suffer for his mistake.
My statement wasn't as cold-hearted or out of line as you make it out to be. It's not like I laughed or pissed on the guy's grave. It sucks that the guy paid for his mistake with his life, but it was a death that may very well have been prevented if he had not made such a terrible decision.
