yeah viper aint bad for what it is i just know that i had my car about a quarter mile away from my house and was still able to remotestart it from my basement, that there is range!

^ aaaaaaaaand thats why you should get the computer OR the NEWEST version of the viper...
there is a procedure everytime you get out...
for the compustar...
you come to a stop with your foot still on the the brakes...wiggle the stick shift in neutral a few times...pull the ebrake...let off the brakes... turn the key and pull out.. if the car stays on and you open the door, and the car turns off whil you close the door, you know you did the procedure correctly... if you didnt do it in that sequence... the car would automatically shut off if you pull the key out..
that way the compustar KNOWS the car is NOT in gear... thus, never allowing that to happen..
the viper is similar in its procedure.
