I think many of us are in this same boat. Me personally I've been debating looking for something else for 2 years...and now I may be laid off anyway! I'm looking into government jobs in Environmental Compliance and water quality. I want to do something that means something...selling products gets old after a while...I'm an Environmental Science/Engineer by degree and have been doing nothing but selling water treatment products. I want to get out there in the field and actually make a difference in the water quality world.

Best of luck on your search. All you can do is put your resume out there and gain as many networking contacts as possible.

Yea, I hear ya. Selling things is not my cup of tea.
I hope you have some good luck out there as well.

Most of the hedge funds I'm familiar with hire only the top of the top graduates (ie. top 5% class rank of the top 5 business schools). If you have a 3.8 or higher GPA at GMU, it may be close enough to get a foot in the door, though. Also, are you willing to relocate, or are you only looking in the DC area? Some of them are in NY or other areas on the east coast.

Yea, they hire from ivy league schools so it's a bit difficult to compete with them. I would relocate to NYC, but I would like to stay here for two more years.
