I had to unload a 2006 Solstice in Tampa a few months ago as part of my brother's estate. Only had 6k miles and Carmax gave $14,000. The dealership that sold it wasn't interested. I would have kept it but it is a POS compared to an S. I was tempted to drive it home and try to get more for it but figured it wasn't worth it.

Everyone, what I dont get, is the anger you have to a no obligation estimate? If carmax lowballed you, you wasted what, 15-30 minutes of your time. Thats all. If they offered you $1 for your car, then go to the dealer and have them push you into a new car, mess with the financing, and play other dealer games.

i just went to the dulles one and got a estimate on my 02 s2k with 64k on it, they offered $8.5k

sad.

i'm just gonna have to keep it!
