Hope for a speedy recovery! I saw the BB on 64 just a day or two ago. I presume heading back to the office from your lunch break...I think it was around lunch time

I am pretty sure the city/county will cover it. I wouldn't just write that off as an option. Don't take too long to report it though, I'd report first thing tomorrow morn if I were you. I hope it doesn't come down to it, but you could always file suit if they try to duck liability.

Damn that sucks...I hate those water caps. Sometimes they even stick out 3" off the asphalt which sucks even more.

I have 217,000 miles on this car... There is little that the premium of paying Comprehensive coverage would have merited on a car with this many miles & this age. Face it: As pretty as it might be...it is still a very depreciated car with high miles (as far as the insurance company is concerned...and were it to 'pay-out' for a wreck, etc.). No, I suppose I disagree and consider Comprehensive coverage a waste once a car reaches this maturity.

Bummer! Good luck with whatever action you take to get reimbursed.

Wow that's a bummer. Hopefully the x braced helped prevent more engine damage.
