I'm sorry to hear this, your car in absolutely awesome shape for the miles! Hopefully she will soon be ripe again.

 

Had a chance to inspect the damaged parts my service mechanic replaced for me. Thought I'd update the OP with those pics as well...

 

So much for the brace protecting the oil pan.

 

True, but I think 2K+ pounds pressing down on, basically, a cast iron ball...leaves little expectation for protection. That brace has received a LOT of scrapes over the years. Scrapes that the pan would likely have received. This?...this time was a tad more invasive .
