(I know this isn't really S2k related, but I know there are a few of you who work for local Honda dealerships, and I was hoping I could get some info...)

I just bought a used CR-V from a Honda dealership in NY. We agreed that it would be certified, but I have no paperwork stating this. The guy at the dealership said I would get a letter from American Honda within 30 days. It's only been about 2 weeks, but I'm a little bit paranoid. Is there a way I can find out if it's in the system?

Go to this link and do a search for certified cars in the area that you purchase your car. This will tell you if your car is certified or not. That's what I did. BTW, I bought my S2 in NY too. Where did you go? I took a long ass journey up to Levittown. It was a pain but will worth it. You'll get a letter and a card in the mail in about a month or two from America Honda if your car is certified.

 

You can also update your car on www.hondacars.com under "Owner Link" and once everything is processed with Honda it should show up there as well.

 

Or you could actually wait 2 more weeks and it'll be on there like the dealer said.

Well, I got my card today. But I still don't see anything under Owner Link.

But at least now I feel safer...
