Another thing I was thinking about today . . . . that may be of help to you.

During a conversation with someone I trained with in the past we were talking about life and all the curve balls it has thrown, that I never expected. This guy and I went to a certain shooting school together.

He reminded me that life is just like our school. He said "remember what Capt Munoz always said. Once you squeeze the trigger that bullet is downrange. You can't worry about that one or change where it went. You gotta concentrate on the next shot!"

It might not make sense to you. It did to me because of what we went through together.

I hope it helps bro.

Also, I agree with Terp!!! It always seems like the memories are perfect and there were never any downtimes. In reality we always glamorize those memories but that isn't exactly how it was. I'm not saying our memories are just wrong. But we sometimes only remember the good stuff.

Chad,
I have thought about changing my past, but I realize that it can not be changed, so dwelling on something that you have no power to controll is an excercise in futility. Also, I personally believe that God (or whatever higher power you choose to believe in) guides your life.... in a sense. You have the power to make decisions and some of them will be bad with bad outcomes. But instead of brooding over it or blaming someone or something else for the mistake, you must analyze it and ask yourself "why did this happen?" "what am I supposed to learn from this?" when you do, it makes the mistakes easier to deal because you know, in the long run, it servs a higher purpose and permits your personal growth.
