Clutch
Some of you may know that i just got back from a 7 and a half month deployment and i have done alot with the car since i was gone. For one i am running 12.5psi with the vortech Supercharger now which brings me to my question.
I got in the car for the first time last night and found that my clutch isnt holding up to the new power that i am making. In 4th gear at 7k It starts to slip. Im not sure what clutch i have in the car beacuse the only thing that the previous owner said about it was "has a new performance clutch" but didnt know which one.
I want to know what everybody is locally running and what there imputs are on there setup. I had a competition stage 2 on my other S and hated the clutch buzz. Other then that i have no personal imput on clutch setups. A few setups that im considering:
ACT HD pessure plate with stock AP2 disk
ACT HDSS Kit
ACT HDG6 Kit
Thanks.

how did the stuff work out for you? i have the ACT HDSS. it feels great. engagement is crisp (you might think it too crisp in the beginning but you will get accustomed to it in a day or 2), and you can shift much faster due to the greater pedal recoil. if you are DDing the car it can get very annoying very fast. but if the car is a weekend car then you'll love it.
i DO suspect that the greater pedal force required to disengage the ACT pressure plate is having adverse effects on the new OEM clutch master cylinder i installed shortly before the clutch, but that is yet to be confirmed.
i had wanted to switch to a competition clutch when the car was my DD but now that it is a weekend car i can enjoy the firm pedal feel.
i don't suggest swapping out the stock flywheel for something lighter.

I had the fidenza flywheel with a stage 2 compitition clutch and like you said the shifts were much faster. The clutch pedal felt much like stock, but i just experiance ALOT of clutch buzz on de-accel, so im trying to avoid that again.
Great Thanks. Anybody have a similar setup with the stock flywheel or stock disk?
+Does anybody know a good place to have the clutch installed? I leave for indiana in about a week and need to have the clutch replaced before that.
