Default is the clutch supposed to feel like this?

I just bought a used AP2 (MY07) and I have a question regarding the clutch.

as I slowly let off the clutch I feel pulsating feeling from the clutch through my foot.
my guess is it's the pressure plate catching the clutch disc but I don't know if i'm supposed to feel that..
it can be felt starting maybe a 1/3 way from the bottom as I release the clutch.
No, it's not the car bogging down because I can only feel it thru my foot and the car doesn't shake.
(this happens whether the car is in neutral or in gear)

is this normal?

i dont think that is normal. i had a 2001 prelude that did the same thing. once it started doin that, i started having trouble getting it into gear with the motor running. sometimes it would drive fine. then it would start actin up. once i got it in the shop (less than 30 days after buying the damn car, dealer wouldnt do sh!t) ended up needing synchros. while they were at it i had them put a clutch kit and flywheel in there as well.

that being said, im not sure whether it was the disc, the pressure plate, or some bearing, or even the syncrhos that were cause the pulsation, but i guess just wanted to share what happened to me.

**Just reread your post saying it does it in neutral. my guess would either be the disc, pressure plate, or probably the throw out bearing.

EDIT:**
could also be this >Sticky Squeaky Clutch Fix<

If you leave it about 1/3 off will it keep pulsating? Like if you wanted to, could you get it to pulse constantly...? Seems weird for a such a new car. Maybe someone tried to remove the CDV and messed up something in the clutch master cylinder?

I don't know but I'm thinking about just getting new clutch for the heck of it and peace of mind.

what kind of clutch kit should I get..the one hardtopguy is selling or clutchmaster? which one?

also what kind of flywheel is good? should I just get AP1 flywheel or something else?

Check your clutch fluid first. Color and levels in the Master Cylinder. Bleed and replace if necessary.

Take it in for warranty repair. It sounds like something is wrong with the pressure plate.

That weird pulse could be the pressure plate.. if you have the correct level of fluid start out in 2nd slip the clutch a little(don't smoke it) then try driving normally the disc can wear unevenly if it wasn't aligned correctly that sometimes fixes the problem by evening out the material on the disc, but if you have a warranty do that!
