haha guess you're on nasioc some. Thats not even a recent list of mods either. lol. I've got an upgraded turbo now and making probably close to 70-85 more whp than I was before. Yeah Its not that I'm getting out of the fast car thing. I'd love a fast car and always will like fast cars but I really want a car that handles awesome and is a blast to drive and I can't say that the wrx doesn't fit that but I've just been frustrated with the car lately.
Don't have the 6spd tranny anymore....made a dumb decision and traded for a semi-built 5spd...love the longer ratios but the tranny is just too noisy and I miss my 6spd terribly. If I get the tranny issue straightened out and I get a tranny I actually like back in the car the likelihood of me getting rid of it is pretty slim but I'm just keeping my options open. I've loved the s2k for quite some time.

DD here with 166K miles. I'm dropped pretty good, but I can and have switched my rims to my stockers (wrapped in Blizzaks) when weatherman forecasts snow. If its deep, no sense in turning The Bruised Banana into a snowplow . But if its a light snow...and you drive with good judgement ...then Blizzaks and the S2K are just fine.

Now ice on the other hand...fuggitaboutit ...

i DD mine

i might be selling my AP1 rims with super inclement weather tires. they're Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Positions. in the rain it feels just as planted as in regular conditions. in slush and LIGHT snow they grip well, but of course you still need to be careful. i've never driven the car with all out snow on the road. the tires have about 80% treadwear on the rear and about 90% on the front.

I drove mine in the snow on summer tires last year just to see how it handled, and I was surprised - better than I expected, compared to some other roadsters. That said, it's still a lightweight RWD sports car, so I'd use discretion and common sense. If they forecast lots of snow, don't drive it; but, it will probably get you home with cautious driving if you get caught offhanded, pending any steep hills.

S-02s ... really? My experience on S-02s was that they immediately packed w/ snow and became something akin to wall paneling being flung down a ski-slope

I DD mine. My wife has an 02 CR-V, which I would rather put the mile's on, but we never do.

Put about 20k on my 03 in one year, and have 15k on my 06 at 11 month's.
