I owned mine for about a year and a half, and I drove it everyday, rain or shine or snow. Driving in the snow was interesting at times, I had a lot of fun, but it was a little scary. But its definitely doable.

I bought my AP2 in January 2004 during a snowstorm, so I got to experience that slipping and sliding on day 1 of ownership!

I daily drove my S2K for about 3 years and finally got tired of jacking with it during those 3 winter months each year. My condo complex was HORRIBLE about snow removal and now my new neighborhood is also HORRIBLE on snow removal duties. They don't plow and the snow gets packed into ice and then...well, you know the rest.

The other 9 months a year, the car was trouble and stress free as a DD and I even managed a reasonable 28-31 mpg in mixed driving. I am not crazy about the surplus of negative attention associated with driving my S, but that's just the price of doing business...maybe I am just geting old. LOL. Additionally, with this latest rash of seat thefts, I refuse to take mine anywhere if it won't be in my garage by night's end.

I was actually just about to ask this. My daily driver just got totalled and I was debating taking hte tiny check from progressive and putting in towards a hard top and winter tires instead of another cheapo daily.

ive daily driven mine in richmond for over 120000 miles, and havent gone easy on the car for a single one of them. Dont drive in the snow too often,, just enough to get it off the road if i get stuck. other than that, the car has held up fine.
