Default Daily Driven s2k

How many of you guys daily drive your s2k and live in the midatlantic area? Just wanted to know if anyone has any trouble in the winters with it.
I'd of course run true winter tires for when it cold real cold and when it snowed. I live in Richmond and we don't get much but just in case.

Recently I've been getting fed up with my wrx and I've always liked the s2k. I know I'll miss the power but I'm kinda growing out of the want a really fast car stage. I just want something clean that looks good, handles well, and is fun to drive and I think the s2k fits the need.

I daily drive mine, even in snow during last winter. Tires of choice is Bridgestone Blizzak LM-22s and -25s. Made through about 2 inches of snow without too much problem. It's fun to poke the gas pedal and let the rear swing out before my VSA kicked in.

I have daily driven mine through two winters. One on summer tires and one on all seasons. This also with the car lowered. We never seems to have snow on the roads very long and if its too bad to drive the S, its most likely that 90% of people aren't driving. Of course its not an ideal car to drive in the snow, but you can get by on all season tires and reasonable driving ability. The car does not do very well in standing snow, regardless of tire choice. But like I said, roads normally get cleared pretty quick.

I personally don't daily drive my s2k in the winter.

I don't think you'll miss the power of a WRX somewhat modded with

custom HKS downpipe
helix flex uppipe
borla xr-1 full 3"
Cobb AP stg2
tein h-tech springs
falken ziex tires
vdo boost gauge
jdm hazard button
06 sti 6spd tranny with sti clutch

the s2k would probaly run somewhat close to that.

Also being age 21 and growing out of wanting a really fast car stage makes me wonder what you'll be like when you're 50.

Anyway.. Good luck!

My S2000 is the only car i've got. I have Falken tires on my car and they worked perfectly in the bit of snow that we had last year. Since you're as far south as Richmond i would imagine you don't have very much to worry about. And like others are saying, if it's bad enough that the S can't handle it then other people probably aren't going anywhere either.

I replaced the OEM Bridgestones with Pirelli PZero Nero M&S all-season tires this year. Mine was a daily driver for two years.
