D'oh! Got pulled tonight...
Dave,
Glad to hear that you're OK. Since you are going through the trouble to buy new silencers for your car, I don't see how it would hurt to call the officer and let him know. Even if he doesn't care, you should certainly mention it in court.

. That the cop could mention [were I to show up in court] that he'd also pulled me for speeding (15 over) and no front plate...well, let's just say I don't want to discover whether or not the wrath of a judge has its limits or not
. Again, I have no reason to try to squirm out of something that I was dead to rights on. And I'm doing the right thing (probably for everyone's ears
) and replacing the baffles. My bigger hope is that my baffles actually *are* shot

PS. Don't get me wrong...and you are correct Jeremy. If I were to fix it, take before/after pics, show up in court, etc....well, there's every likelihood that it'd get dropped. Then again, a wrong judge (or just the fact that I really don't want to spend a PTO day sitting in a courtroom again
)...makes me just wanna pay the fine & move on
.

Like Skip said Jeremy, I'm just paying the fine ($87). Cut the check today & mailing it out with the summons tomorrow.
