Default Door repair update!

As some may recal, a little while ago my S2000 was backed into in a parking lot by one of the few honest people left in the world. Here's a link to the original post.

The woman's insurance was handled through Allstate and they estimated a two-day repair to do standard work to bang out the damage. I took the car to Fletcher's for repair and they indicated that the only proper thing to do would be to re-skin the door and that they'd have to discuss the matter with Allstate.

Well, it's all finally been worked out and I'm going to get a new skin on the door! Yeah!! I'm especially happy because this means that the two oval marks left from an unfortunate egging incident last year will also go away!

It unfortunately means that I also will be stuck in the rental Ford Focus for about two weeks while the door is reskinned and painted (with probably the entire side of the car repainted to blend it all in).

I'll see everyone at the Mid-A Mod Meet with a fresh new door, hopefully!

Glad it's being resolved Steve. It was nice that the person was honest. You don't find folks like that anymore.

Blending is an option for body guys who can't get a perfect match. Had a fender only sprayed on my silverstone, came out perfect.
