Red face Effective Immediately

I've asked the admins of the site to remove the title of Community Organizer immediately. I do not want to receive PM's concerning this decision.

I'd like to thank Alex(Poindexter) for handling all things admin during my time with this community. Also, I'd like to thank Dave(w1ngman) for helping along the way. to both of you.

As I posted a couple of months ago, the past twelve months have been taxing. We are ever indebted to the support that many of you have shown my family and me during this time. I'm handling the passing of my dad better these days and Janet seems to have the chronic residual headaches beat; things are looking up. My car is but an afterthought.

The above is not why I'm stepping down. I'm stepping down because I do not want to be part of a potentially downward-spiralling entity. At the pace the Mid-A is going, the few will manage to drive off the many. What happened to common courtesy? What happened to civility? What happened to helping others out?

I am in no way unappreciative of the recent jesture by Eric(E-Heezy). My wife and I were moved to tears by the thought... not by the result of that jesture. Janet and I have what we would call "friends," not just acquaintenances, that have been made and developed through this car- this site.

Janet and I are the same people with or without some title. We still love to have fun, drink, drive- not simultaneously though, don't want to spill it. I feel that I have helped all those who have asked for help whether it be with an incident on the board or help with the car. And was glad to do so. I hope more folks continue this spirit as Revenuer did.

Lastly, I tried never to post anywhere on the board in such a manner as to embarass the Mid-A. I always wanted others to think we had a pretty good group. I'll still be on the board. Just don't be shocked when I no longer bite my tongue.

Skip
aka, Crash

HEY CRASH, EFFECTIVE THIS MINUTE MY ADMIRATION, AND PRIDE FOR YOU JUST INCREASED TWOFOLD

Thanks for being a great guy, with a great wife, and a great car....okay, a messed up great car, but it will be back for another day on the roads. You have done a great job as CO in my opinion, and you will be missed. But glad you are going to still post often, with less limitations on your right to voice your opinion, I for one can't wait to see where the new Skip goes???

I'm sorry to see you shed the title, but I'm glad you're not going away.....and I'm really glad that you aren't going to bite your tongue anymore

I may let loose my own opinions on "the few" in the future, but right now I'm going to bite my tongue....

I ask that anyone who feels he/she would want to be a C.O. for NOVA/MD, please PM me. If you have any nominations please PM those to me as well. I will start a thread about a replacement once I get some feedback.

skip, i understand your decision ( i believe we even discussed the matter a little bit on the phone last time i talked to you) all i can say is that you are a great guy, with or without a title. you have done more than enough to make me feel welcome with my limited participance in events and meets. you said that the few will drive off the many, but dont let them scare you off completely

Skip,
Thanks for supporting the community in your C/O capacity. Maybe an 'unbitten' tongue on the "Few" will save the many?

Thanks again.

That IS sad... I'm sure you won't walk away from the community, so at least that's a good thing We all know where you live, so we'll kick your arse if you ever try to leave

...time for SweetJ to step up into Skip's place and represent MD

Tep, as goofy as you are sometimes, I've missed you on the board. I was asking about you Saturday.
