Lou,

I highly recommend the Hard Dog padding. It works with the soft top cause it's thick in front and thin on the sides and it's pre-formed to fit perfectly--and it should work great with your Elda bar. That's what I have and I'm very happy with the fit and finish.

As I mentioned I've had a couple type of pads and had no problem with top clearance on either; I'm sure Elda factored that in.

Hey Dave sold the vette, leased a 08 S2000 and built a Spec Miata.

It was quite a change.
Good for you. Are you going to follow the footsteps of my "grass roots" hero?

I wish Honda would finance an S2000 series; hell, they've sold over 100,000 now world wide and 2/3rd's are in the US.

As for Vettes, I sold the really good one........... bought a '63 when I got out of college. Sting Ray was two words then. Truth be known, I enjoyed my '63 Triumph Spitefire more. Go figure.

BSCI, the roll bar padding company that hard dog uses also makes a dual density roll bar pad. It supposed to be soft on the outside and harder on the inside. It doesn't look like hard dog offers this type of pad but you can buy it online. Has anyone used this type of pad? The dense pad sold by HD is great and all but its hard as hell and in a street driven car (like mine) I don't relish the idea of hitting it with my head sans helmet.

That's spot on with the issues I have with the current padding. Thanks for the link. I can not find a link to order it or a price listed (??).... I'm ready to give it a try.

Probably not, one needs money and talent for that, I am lacking both.
