Default F20C powered Rx-7 build thread

So i have been on deployment for way to long now, and i will be getting back here shortly. Before i left i seized up the rotory in my 1990 mazda RX-7 (go figure) so i dropped out the motor along with the tranny. I did have a spare motor in the garage with 46,000 miles on it so i bought a stage 2 ACT clutch PP and flywheel, along with an 2008 AP2 tranny that only has 2,800 miles on it. I then bought a JDM Spec Rear end with the LSD diff from the TII model. The +1 dropped the car off at a local shop along with all the parts needed for the install a few months ago.

This is where i may need your help. I am really big in the drifting scene and would love to drift the s2000 but that really wasnt all that practical due to the fact it is my DD and who knows how long the drivetrain will last with that kind of abuse. we all now the diff and halfshafts are weak as it is. I am already pushing my luck running 373 to the wheels with the S. Back to my main question. Should i continue to build this into a full drift setup or should i go with a time attack or autocross approach with the car.

I love my mazda but hated the rotary. when the rotary went out i thought i would just combine the two things i love most about my s2000 and the mazda. I plan on installing a Fullrace GT30r turbo kit as soon as the car gets done and having it installed and tuned by inline pro. I want a quick spool up time with around a reliable 450 to the wheels for drifting purposes. the car is suppost to be turn key ready before i get home so i can't wait

Well anyways i just thought i would throw this out there. I kind of wanted to wait untill i got home and pull up to one of the local s2000 meets to spill the beans but i couldn't resist. Like i said i have been on deployment for way to long and i wish i had something better to spend my money on but i have to big a love for my cars.

The wife is going to the shop to take some pictures of the car so hopfully i can post pics of it soon.

Being a lover of both the RX-7 and the S2000 I can't wait to see how your project turns out. Let's see those pics!
