Default Front Lip Material

What material do I want the lip to be made of? I am probably going to cheap out and buy one on ebay, but I wanted to at least get a good material.

Urethane is more flexible than fiberglass. Shit does happen and you will tap a curb parking some day and will be glad it didn't shatter like fiberglass...

dmw16,

Do me a favor and try not to start so many threads relating to the lower lip you have been inquiring about. There are 3 open threads at this moment, started by you. Choose one and keep that one. Thanks. I'm keeping this one open and locking the other two.

Peter,Sorry about that. I'll try to keep all my questions condensed from now on.

CaptKirk, I did want a CF one, but that one fell thru. The CF ones are pretty expensive and the poly ones can be had on ebay for about $110-$150, but I guess I question their quality. It's so hard to know what you're getting...

I also thought I may just go with the CF splitters that go on the corners and skip the lip. For $300 I could get an intake or something instead and that may be money better spent...

Dmw 16.

my friend and i actually got our lips around the same time. I went oem and he got the oem replica off ebay(i didnt trust ebay quality or fitment) and IMHO i should have got the ebay one (115 shipped) plus like 100 for paint. It is so much more flexible then mine, and the fitment is actully great.

What kind of installation hardware is required. The place that charges $150 includes installation hardware. The place that costs $105 said it comes with "a few screws and double sided tape". Is there really a difference between "installation hardware" and "a few screws and double sided tape"?

No i just put my lip back on two days ago without the hardwear. I think it was a total of 8 screws. 2 on each end and 4 along bottom middle if im not mistaken. When my friend got his it came with some clips also but i dont even think he used them.
