The 4600 is I think a 3 year old card (2?) and would be inadequate for most current games... unless you don't mind poor visual quality...

The questions are:

1) What games are you planning to play
2) How much do you care about performance/quality visuals
3) How much are you willing to spend

It really does just come down to those 3 questions. You could find cards that perform OK with low graphics settings in most games at 800x600 or maybe 1024x768 in the $90-120 range. You could find cards that perform well at 1024x768 w/ low-medium settings (ie. GeForce 6600GT) in the $150 price range. Or you could continue stepping up performance and price all the way to 1600x1200 w/ full graphics options, antialiasing, etc w/ a 7800 GTX.

You probably want this card: 154 after rebate. Should have no problems as long as you keep it in mid-to-high range of detail.

Geeze. That's a good price, if you're going to do the rebate form. Otherwise, the GeForce 6800 GS was just announced recently. That's in the $200 range and offers very good performance for that price.
