Hello from Hawaii
Welcome to the East Coast. You have a few fellow Anne Arundel County members here on the boards and a strong s2ki Mid-A community here. Give us a heads up when you get here, we will put something together for you.

Hello !
I will be moving to Maryland, Anne Arundel county in the following weeks. I will be driving my s2k from California to Maryland starting Nov 2nd ish
. Looking forward to meeting everyone.
I have never been to the east coast before, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
What is the best route to take? I heard I-40 is the most scenic? but there might be bad weather?
Anybody driven across country before? any advice on GPS? any must-go spots?
The S2k will be my DD, do i need to get snow tires? will all season tire work?
Thanks in advance!

And just so everyone knows, living in Hawaii isn't anywhere near as nice as vacationing here.
Welcome to the Mid-A. One thing Maryland will do is build character. We get all 4 seasons here and there are several nice areas to drive when you consider Maryland and the neighboring states like VA, WV and PA. Hope to see you at a meet.
if you have stock summer tires on your car, do not go over 40 mph in any snow at all. i have driven in the PA mountains a couple times in light snow and it was awful. i went 40-45 mph the entire time and was still sliding around even though i was following cars' tracks.
if it's raining and below 50, also drive very cautiously. i only say this because you're from HI.
good luck!

I've driven cross country few times and at this time of the year stay South
