There were a few members looking to get vented. Is anybody still interested?

Damn, how much longer will you be in the area? I'd LOVE to have this done, and have cash in hand to do it.

Ok so far I have compiled a list of interested parties.
I had a feeling the aluminum sheet was the biggest hurdle so I'm glad my move has allowed you guys/gals to get your hoods vented at an affordable cost!

Thank you to everyone who has reached out.

Interested so far

Cobralink101 - 3 vents
Sirhodjibob - 3 vents
Mo19249 - 3 vents
Papichulonica - 3 vents

As stated before and in every pm I have a limited quantity of aluminum left. With that being said I will update this post with a number of cars I can complete with the materials I have.

This number will be for cars getting 3 vents

Hey guys, as ron stated I took the plunge, and it came out fantastic! Ron was super careful and did a great job. If you're on the fence I would recommend doing it.
I have the K&N FIPK, which is already loud to begin with, but with a vent directly on top of it the sound is absolutely incredible. Just pure induction noise in VTEC, it sounds unlike anything else on the road. Anyways, on to the pictures. Now I really have to put my lip on and find a set of wheels to complete the car.

hood off. Made sure not to flip it over until completion so the metal shavings wouldn't scratch the paint

Mesh is in. It was powdercoated matt black (so it matches the trim on the rest of the car), and secured with industrial strength double sided tape and a bead of silicone. It's also slight larger than the hole, so you have to basically snap it in. Point is, it's not going anywhere. Before getting this done I thought about maybe installing sheet metal clips but it's really not necessary.

Excuse the tree growing out of my car

My only advice: Just be patient, it takes time to get it right. It'll pay off in the end if you are.
