Committing fraud definitely isn't the way to go. Its going to be pretty obvious to the dealer that this is in no way shape or form a problem with the soft top, especially with a car so new.

If you can't afford to get the entire top replaced, I would recommend taking the car to the dealer and asking for their help and not necessarily try to make a warranty claim -- or goto a place that specializes in patching soft tops. If there are small holes in the top, most likely they'll be able to patch the holes for less than replacing the entire top and you'll be able to continue using the soft top until its actually time to replace it.

hey whats up dude. I hardly doubt your warranty will cover wear and tear items. I recently had to replace my top, so I managed to buy a soft top off ebay for $325 shipped and used some direction off s2ki and took a whole to replace the top myself, if intereseted pm me and i will send you the links.

Some girls actually like the shocker, so you might just be reinforcing her to do it again!!

Just give her a ... although, some like that also

Now that I think about it, just send her my way and I'll take care of her

Did you go with the glass window? I'm the same boat right now, i want a hard top but i don' t have the extra money to spend so i was going to by a soft top and do it myself, but if its alot harder to upgrade to the glass i was going to stick with the
plastic.

Not hard at all. Just requires a couple extra straps attached to the frame so that it collapses and opens properly.

I did the '00 plastic top to '02 glass top conversion and it took me ~5 hours with a friend helping me.

PM your email and I'll send you the directions in a PDF.

Hands down one of the BEST mods I had ever done to the car

Since your car is fairly new, how about going to the dealership that you bought it at and talking to the service guy that is assigned to you and just tell him you're an idiot and messed up your top and if he could help you out. Simple as that. At least you fessed up to it and they might fix it for you since you bought it there and wnt to keep you a satisfied customer. Some service folks bend over backwards to help satisfy a customer that bought a vehicle from their dealership. And if that doesn't work then I guess you'll just have to scour the for sale forum for a new top.
