What you're talking about is an "impact driver" I belive... And you will be using it to attempt to remove 4 brass-ish (interpret that as "soft-as-hell") philips flat-headed screws. The impact driver can be purchased for ~ $20 or less from Sears (Craftsman item) and comes with an assortment of 4 bits). Also a good idea to suggest that you purchase a few replacement screws from your local Honda Parts center. There are 4 per wheel...and you'll likely ruin the head on one or more per wheel if they have been corroded/seized to the rotor in any way. Also brings up another good point...might want to have a matching "drill bit" that is used to back out screws where the head has been stripped out ...it happens...from experience, I can say, it happens...

Pic below offers what you should be looking for. Not a Craftsman represented below...Craftsman that I've had my hands on was all matte-black. But exact same design/kit.

Here's a site with good prices if you just want to order one like seen above. Not guaranteeing their service, etc....this is just a quick search I did on the Net:

HA I knew I read it somewhere and just sitting here today I was about to do a search of "w1ngman" posts! I just remembered it was you preparing for the Aug 23rd brake clinic where I read it.. http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.p...threadid=138575 But LOTS of thanks for info! I almost (probably still will) bought the air compressor and impact wrench. Hell you can never have too many tools. Especially air ones.

What do those screws do, anyway? I always just drilled 'em out and never replaced them. It seems to me they only hold the rotor on until you put the wheel back on, no?

So then i guess you could probably get away with 2 per wheel (worse case) if you were to strip them? Can they be replaced with different screws?(Not from Honda)

Also...get the Honda screws... Not terribly expensive (~ $1 each +/-). But they FIT...and that is important. Proper threads, right head angle, flush mount, etc. You'd spend too much time effort in driving around trying to match up screws with a hardware shop (only to likely not get what you needed).

Just my .02 .
