Thumbs down Ladies & Gentleman - changes are coming...

Some new changes are coming to S2Ki: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...0&#entry5260989

One of them is being discussed by CO's and Mods which entails signatures. Signatures have caused a bit of a problem lately. People have abused them by making them too big, advertising things that shouldn't be advertised here, using them as outlets for ridiculing other people, or making displays of vulgarity/pornography. I can't tell you how many times I've had to make signature change requests in the past 2 months

The powers that be have grown tired of it and are gearing up to lay down some major enforcement

In the Mid-A I can only see two things that might bring some attention:

1. Visually Large signatures - (this hasn't been determined yet, but it is looking like you can display one banner/picture that is 500w x 150h pixels - this could change) - a picture of your car is probably safe, as long as it is small enough. The good news is that there will be a higher amount of bandwidth allowed for signatures.

2. Commercial Signatures - due to the abuse (one rotten apple spoils the bunch) all commercial signatures must go - this has always been the rule, but it was never enforced till now (sweetj and I have to change our signatures).

If anyone feels the need to commend or complain, please post it here. Keep in mind that S2Ki is a privately owned and registered website, so the powers that be can do whatever they want.

It might be too wide, but hold off on changing it till the official dimensions have been decided on. You may need to remove your commerical links

That would be a shame. It's not like two of three don't still help/serve the community at large.

I know, but the powers that be want to enforce the old rule of "no commercial advertising in signatures". People have abused the fact that it hasn't been enforced and paying sponsors/vendors have complained. I assume this is a way to appease them eventhough most of us have been trying to help the good ones.
