thanks.....the search button never seems to work for me so I have the hardest time finding information on here unless its a very recent post.
Thanks for this...I have a local mechanic do my routine maintenance. Mine came on at the end of last week, and I was looking for the instructions to turn it off. Going to print them again right now. Of course, since my car's in the shop for the drive shaft issue, and they are going to do the 30K check for me, I suppose they will reset it.

I've done a lot of oil changes in my life, but as usual....everything with my s2000 is 10 times harder. After finding out the Honda dealership wanted $250 to "check a lot of things" and change my oil I figured I'd do it myself, but I'd still have to figure out how to turn the maint req'd light off. Maybe everyone knows this but me.....but someone finally told me how to do it and it saved me a bunch of $$$.
1. press and hold trip button with left hand
2. stick key in ignition and turn to on (dash lights up)
3. keep holding trip until you see the light go off (takes about 30 seconds)
4. let go of trip button and start car
5. turn off car
done
Hopefully this helps someone.
(I only have 26,000 miles ....got it used....and the oil that came out was THICK! and only about 2-3 quarts came out....I'm curious when the last oil change was....if it was...I'm going to keep a really close eye on it now to see if its burning oil or getting dirty really quickly)

^ it's for the blinking light... it's just a reminder after a set given amount of miles.... when you get your oil change done and such it's supposed to be reset
