Default Mid-a Track Day

Hey. I was just wondering if anyone else has had the urge to take their little Honda out on a real race track for a few laps . I feel comfortable enough with my S driving skills now to take it to a little higher level. I've noticed that some of the other regional communities are setting up track days at their local speedways or road race courses, and can't wait to do it again. Has anyone tried to set one of these up in the Mid-A region with any success? I would personally prefer a professional road course, but a banked oval track would do just fine too!

It is funny you should bring this up Jack. One of my BMW mechanics is the Pit Crew Chief for Eurosport's Porsche team and also pretty big in the Porsche Club (Yes, he works on BMWs for a living, but Porsches are his hobby).

To make a long story short: he has been twisting my arm to go out to VIR with him and the Porsche club. I started talking to him yesterday about doing a joint venture between the S2000s and the Porsches for a day at VIR. I was saving this news for another day, but what the hell - let's see who is up for it now

All you need is your own helmet - VIR will not supply you with one........or so I'm told.

Generally, VIR requires a rollbar. Our hoops do not qualify.
