ok...........i actually didnt use the tools that the FORUM said to use.

I'm very good with a dremmel tool........for some reason i have very steady hands Giggity....

So what i did was... i took a bit from my screw driver set.. you know.. that peice you can interchange to use as a screw driver? Well i just placed it right up against the skeleton, took a marker and just placed it right up to it, and just moved the peice all the way around the skeleton and thats how i traced it....looked like i was playing with a oieji board but with a marker and tool bit hahaha...

I then took my drill, and on each corner, i drilled a couple of holes in each corner all did that for all the shapes............then with my dremmel, my trusty hands and sitting on my big ass balls, i just started to dremmel away.... made the shape smooth.....did all 6, and i was done.

that FIRST initial hole you drilled is the worst........but once you started hahahahaha.. doh well... might as well keep goin. So i did Anfony was there the whole time too......shaking his head at me hahahaha.

You're correct; it's not easy to lose weight on the S. EJ was on the right track.

Replacing the enitre exhaust(header, cat, exhaust) nets a potentially significant loss. When I ran the Rick's header and the T1R 70RT, I saved at least 60 lbs. The downside of this(not applicable on the street) is that weight is removed from a relatively low point on the car, thereby raising the car's center of gravity.

Lightweight battery. For approx. $175, you can have a 14lbs battery. That may be approximately 10lbs saved.

The softtop assembly is approximately 70-75lbs. OEM hardtop weighs about 44 lbs. You save 30lbs and decrease drag. My current hardtop weighed in near the 15-pound mark. Unfortunately it is a little heavier now that I repaired it.

Trunklid is not aluminum like the hood. Weight can be saved there even with pseudo-CF ones.

Wheels are a great place to shave weight, but most times, it'll cost you.

Airbags are heavier than I thought, but most on here street their cars. I DO NOT recommend removing your airbags if you drive on the street. It's illegal.

Spare tire/tools.

Seats.

Carpet.

Stereo/speakers.
Make sure the driver and the passenger are not fat.
