Anyone in the area has upgraded their door speaker and installed Lucid's rear speakers?
I'm contemplating which route to go, and would like to hear the difference just upgrading the door speakers and installing rear speakers has using the OEM head unit. I was wondering if I could possibly meet up to get a first hand listen.

I just installed the Lucid rear speakers this morning. I went with the Kenwood 5 1/4 2-ways. The install took about an hour and that included driving up to the dealership to get the radio code and stopping twice because of rain. The instructions were great also. I'm very pleased with the setup and the improved sound.

 

I added a two-channel amp and put separates (components) in the doors. I also put the Infinity BassLink powered sub in the trunk (all from Circuit City). Everything sounds great but I would like to add the Lucid rears eventually (might swap amps and get a four channel amp). Whatever you decide, definitely consider adding an amp - Makes a world of difference.

That's exactly what I wanted to hear. Did you do the install, or let cuircit city do it? Where did you mount the tweeters? Did you keep the stock head unit, or switch to an aftermarket one?

I have just the Lucid rear panels (with 4" Polks) with my OEM HU if you want to check out the difference that adding the rear speakers make.
