Default New Clutch?

Sigh...

I spent all this weekend (and a good part of last) working on this project

Now it seems I need a new clutch, I am getting slippage at high RPM.

Does anyone local have good recommendations for a clutch for a FI car?

I am thinking about the ACT PP, Comptech flywheel and OEM disk.

A friend mentioned Centerforce, but I cannot find much on them and S2000s.

Also I don't think I am up for this project since I only have Jack Stands, so where to get it done?

Any recommendations are appreciated.

Cheers,

George

George, the parts you mentioned are what's going in my car soon. I already have a price from Hardtopguy. We have an auto hobby shop here on the base- lifts, tools, some parts, and some technical help. I wasn't planning on tackling this until about July's end/mid-August. That may not be soon enough for you. If you are interested, let me know. I'd love to help you and learn in the process.

Nice work on the supercharger!

I didn't know you were going FI. We gotta go for a ride when you get a chance so I can feel the difference btwn the Vortech and your Comptech w/aftercooler.

Why won't you get the ACT street disk as well? I have the ACT street PP and disk and it's very streetable and gets the job done.

Thanks Skip,

I was thinking about letting Ganley Honda do the work. I need to call Jeff and see what they charge

After the Supercharger project I am wrenched out, and I think I just want have someone else do the work (they have to be extremely competent though)

George

George, check with W1ngman for what he just paid a local shop in his area. He just had his done. That'll give you an idea. I want to say around $500 or so. Jeff is out of town, but Joe is at work this week.

We are going to start recommending the clutch replacement along with the S/C kits. It seems that even a marginal clutch will slip when going S/C. Also to prevent from doing things twice since the S/C needs to be removed to do the clutch.

It Does?

Joe, are the Techs at Ganley up to this task? Can the whole clutch job be done in a day?
