i have the same problem with my invidia, my cheesy ghetto fab solution was to wedge a piece of sheet metal in between where the tip attaches on the inside, it seemed to fix the problem.
I was debating doing the same thing actually This marty guy gave me a price range I couldn't argue with. I just think welding should hold it for as long as I keep the exhaust. I'm really glad I asked. I will post pictures up of his work.

Find someone who has a stock radio and swap it out with them. It takes literally 5 minutes to do the swap, and you will eliminate the headunit being/going bad. Just my 2 cents....

Mike, I've got a stock radio laying around if you want to do the quickie swap and see if it's the radio. You can also bring me a new battery at the same time.

had the same issue with the invidia, and they replaced the entire rear section free of charge. i never even put it back on, but sold it instead (new bling section was good, i lost about $15 on the deal over a 8 month period). I never could get them to admit it was a flaw in the design....good luck!

who replaced it? evolution? they offered to "take a look" at mine, but i would have had to pay shipping both ways, with no guarantee that they would do anything.

Wow...well I got mine for free so I can't complain about anything. I thin kthe $20-$30 I'll spend to have the tips welded on will make it still a great deal.

geesh I get it man...you don thave to keep repeating yourself.... j/k ok ok tell me what kind of laptop it is and I'll look around for you.

On another note...more problems with my car. The passenger side handle for the top broke at around midnight last night. Being sick of the problems I went to the famous Fairfax Honda (a.k.a. hell, a.k.a. screw customers as much as they can) and I actually got really good help. Some girl walked me over to some service advisor...he came and took a look....he asked if it was certified ...I said yes and he had everything taken care of for free (as it should be) I have ot go back when they get the parts for them to install it. Has anyone else broken the handle? Seemed odd to myself and Honda.
