NoVA Tour October 9th.
I'm planning on doing another "NoVA Tour" and I'm looking at Saturday, October 9th. The meet will start in Woodbridge, VA, just off 95. We'll then embark on an approximate 185 mile trek that will bring us right back to the start point. Trust me, there are a lot of fun, scenic roads along the way. All cars are welcome. I have posted this on the Subaru and Evo forums, and a friend with a Porsche is putting out the word too. Should be a good mix of cars. Detailed directions will be provided to each car. After we're all back at the lot, we can exchange stories.
Meet Location: "Old Hechingers" commuter lot. Corner of Old Bridge Rd & Route 123 in Woodbridge, VA. Off 95 it's exit 160, Route 123 N toward OCCOQUAN/LAKE RIDGE.
Meet Time: 12pm, Saturday, October 9th.
Leave/Drive Time: 1pm
Possible After Party: ~7pm - Whenever

- Detailed directions will be provided to each car. It's suggested to have a passenger to read them, but not absolutely necesarry. In past "Tours" we've tried to keep all the cars together, but this was VERY difficult with 20+ cars. So this time, there will be no waiting. That's why you have the directions. This will also allow people to make stops whenever they want, without having to rely on the whole group stopping. Think of it as sort of a TSD rally, without the burden of it being a competition.
- This is for fun. This is not a competetition to see who can get back the quickest. Please respect other cars and keep the speeds down, especially in populated areas. You can still have a lot of fun without driving like a maniac. Take in the scenery, relax, and enjoy the drive.
- Bring a map. There are many sections where alternate routes can be taken. If you feel the need to get back quicker, or just want to break off and head home, a map will be a great help. Not to mention if you get lost.
- Bring walkie talkies/radios. I think a lot of people have them, and we'll decide on a channel to share.
- Get at least a few cell phones numbers. Don't know if there will always be coverage in the "remote" areas, but it will help if you get lost.

- Try to get to know who's in what car. Trust me it will help when trying to communicate to the group via walkie talkies. "The Blue Sedan" will get a "Which One?" reply.

- Again, this is for FUN! We all like to drive our cars, and this is just an opportunity to share that with fellow enthusiasts.
Heh. I don't know if I can handle being the only Silverstone in a sea of Suzuka Blue. Any other Silverstones in Northern VA who want to join us? Or even some Sebrings? Well, I suppose it's open to all S colors...

Could an Electron Blue 2001 Prelude tag along? If I'm not doing anything that weekend it might be fun. But yea, where from Woodbridge are you going? Can I recommend Staying off 95 as much as possible? Maybe swing out to Fredericksburg area, there are some nice smooth backroads out that way.

I could be in if I can make that date. Which direction is the 185 miles going to be in? SW? Just curious.
