Default Pulled over for loud exhaust ugh!

Hey guys,

So I got pulled over the a few weeks ago for having a loud exhaust , I have a Megan single 3" on a boosted S. Not going to lie, that exhaust is loud, even after welding a resonator on it. Does anyone have a ptuning dual exhaust installed on the boosted S? The reason I ask is because I hear it's really quiet plus its a 3"...perfect for my ptuning kit. If you have one installed I would love to swing by and hear it in person before I make the big purchase

Thank you in advance.

more like can you swing by so I can hear your loud exhaust before you change it out?
I don't have it, but I did hear that exhaust on Ptuning kit. It's pretty decent. I didn't think it was that loud

Assuming you are in Maryland, did you get a ticket or a repair order?

He is in Alexandria VA. I don't think anyone in MD ever got a ticket for being "too loud" or "too low"

You'd be wrong sir. Maryland traffic article 22 609 b "Modifying exhaust system on motor veh. causing excessive noise emission" is a ticket you can get in MD for a loud exhaust. It's not one handed out very often because in MD you can be issued an equipment repair order in lieu of a ticket.

Well thank you for letting me know about the law. But i never said you "Can't" get a ticket. All i said i have not heard of anyone in MD who got a ticket or repair order for loud exhaust, and i know people here with N1 exhausts and louder ones.

Ok, wasn't sure if you were aware or not by the way you had it worded. Anyways, I guess you must have some lucky friends. Years ago before I was a cop I got stopped twice for the N1 on my Prelude. It happens, just not often.

Now i hope you do not go and tell your COP friends to pull over my car and give me a ticket.
