question
Ok, I need some help again.
I am going to be installing some new strike plates for my conv. top, and I was wondering if someoen could help me with how to remove the plastic correctly.
Thanks.

Fairly straight forward (as far as "pull until you notice resistance...then investigate). This is off the top of my head...so anyone knowing more, chime in...
- A-pillar plastic covers simply come out via fingertip pressure applied under the rubber gasket travelling along the A-pillar. Pull the plastic A-pillar cover towards you and it will release itself from 2-3 pressure clips. Set the covers aside in a safe place where they won't be disturbed.
- Remove the phillips screws that hold each sunvisor in place at their pivot base (I can't say/think "pivot" without hearing Ross Gheller from Friends...
"P-I-V-O-T!!!!"
). Set sunvisors aside in a safe place where they won't be disturbed. - Remove the cover to the dome light assy. Do this by inserting a thin-bladed flathead screwdriver to the front side just forward of the dome (you'll note a couple notches to insert the blade if you look). Pry open & set aside where it won't be disturbed.
- Use a phillips screwdriver to remove 2 screws that reside within the base of the dome assy. These screws hold the center of the "long plastic upper cross section" in place. Remainder of attachement is provided via pressure clips that you release simply by applying fingertip prying pressure. There'll be some wiring to disconnect here (a composite clip) somehwere along the way...but it will make sense when you see it. Set aside in a safe place where won't be disturbed.
- Now you have access to the mounts for your strikers. 2 Phillips screws again, and you've got 'em out.
- Repeat in reverse order to button everything back up again

Thank you, Dave, for taking the time to provide this information.
It is absolutely unbelievable how folks on this board are so gracious in taking the time to share the knowledge for everyone. It just proves that S2K owners are true sports car enthusiasts. All the best!
