Default S2K Repaint?

I've got more than a few dings in the car from the previous owner along with the following
- a hole in driver's door it's currently filled with epoxy of some sort
- rear bumper is scratched to plastic all over (thank you downtown richmond)
- front bumper is scraped up
- windshield stripe has those damn sanded spots all over
- scratches, etc

I went to SAGE for a quote and spoke to their bodywork guy (painter wasn't in) and he suggested rather than fixing and painting random panels to save up and just do it all at once - for around $2000. This somewhat makes sense to me, it seems the average is about $300 for the bumpers, ~$100 for my front lip, god knows what for the hole in the door, etc.

Anyone have to deal with getting their S resprayed? Where'd you have it done and approximately how much was it? Richmond to Norfolk area is where I'd want to have it done.

$2000 for a whole car? RUN!!! Finished product probably won't be what you're hoping for.

That wasn't the final quote but an off-hand estimate from their body work guy, not the actual paint guy

And I guess I should clarify, it's red, staying red and is just the exterior, no jambs, etc.

I'm also speaking with Stock or Modified shortly, they painted my hardtop which came out really well.

Being that it's red, it will probably cost more to paint. Red is the most expensive paint to make/buy.

Yeah that's the other thing the guy at SAGE told me, they'd have to look up the paint code and expect it to be a higher. Anyone else have any suggestions?

Main ones I know of are SAGE and SoM, SoM did my hardtop and it came out really well need to get a quote from them.

Casey Collision Center in Newport News. They painted that Seafoam green S2000. The quality of the work is TOP NOTCH!!! It was rather expensive though, but you get what you pay for, especially with paint/body work.

Cory is right, Nate at Casey Collision is a fantastic painter (also a former S2000 owner). I could not believe the final outcome of my car it came out amazing. I wouldn't say they are pricey, I would just say you get what you pay for when it comes to painting a car.

Ah awesome, thanks Cory! I was asking around as to who painted it but no one knew. I don't mind paying for quality work so long as its well, quality work.

It is definitely quality work. If you ever get a chance to see Rob's car in person, it's amazing. I had the pleasure of putting a transmission in it, and had the chance to see it up close.
