Default Snow Day!

So I had my first snow drive in the S2k this morning (I leave for work at 3:30AM so basically nothing was plowed when I got up).

Other than some judiciously careful throttle application, and rolling one gear higher than I nomally do, the S handled pretty well in the white stuff with half-worn all-seasons. I also went out of my way to avoid hills, as I didn't want to get stuck. My street is on a slight incline and I had a tough enough time there first thing leaving.

I had some white knuckle moments going from 97 South to 32, as not enough people had taken the ramp yet to clear it out, but all-in-all it was an OK drive.

Good luck in the weather everyone, keep the front facing the right way, and keep the shiny side up out there!

Edit: On an unrelated note, anybody want to help me install a rollbar next month? I'll bring the beer.

I finally got to try out my snow tires. They were AWESOME! First gear was easy to get wheel spin. Every gear after that you had to try if you wanted to make them spin. I love not having to constantly correct it like I had to with my last set of tires.

I had to drive out in the snow this morning as well. 0500 and the roads were still not plowed. Was quite a bit squirrely on some parts of 100E and 295S.

Is the rollbar a bolt-in or is welding required?

It's a bolt-in. Rockstar Garage double diagonal, basically identical to the hard dog.
