Ah well after 6.5 years, own the ar full out and over 100k... I guess it was bound to happen... but in all honesty it shouldn't have

I believe the oil pump may have failed, and then spun a rod bearing or locked something up in the rotating assembly throwing a rod through the block,is what it looks like to me.

I am coming up on 72K, should I start to worry? Naw! It's a Honda. BTW how many RPM's where you turning when the pump let go?

It would have had to have been something like that.

I hope this wasn't too costly for you J. If you're going AP2-powered I guess you'll have a...... ......2002.5?
