Default STB install??

i know this is going to sound silly...but how do i install my new STB?

i have tried with all my might to unscrew the four nuts on the shock posts...do i need to jack the car up first or something? i thought these were there specifically for that purpose...

anyone have a hint?

Weird...mine just came off

Try using a breaker bar and get 'em loose first.

**EDIT: Are you talking about a STB that mounts inside the engine bay??**

you guys were able to just loosen them with a wrench, right? just pop the hood and right to it? i've even tried micro-teflon lubricant...

Yup, just the three 14mm (I think) nuts on each side. No problems except I think I remember the cruise control cable getting in the way a little, but no issues with the tightness...

apply some liquid wrench first and let it soak...
use some kind of breaker bar to get it going.
I can't believe your having this much trouble getting the nuts loose.

counterclockwise right? J/K, but it is hard to belive that the nuts are that tight. They should be torqued to around 15 lbs (can't remember of the top of my head). I have an 03 and had no problem with a little 1/4 rachet.
