Stereo Upgrade
"Good" and speakers is such a subjective thing.
One may listen to them and love them, but someone else may find them too bright or too muddy, etc.
I used to have MB's in my Lude and overall I loved them, I did find them a little bright, but nothing that couldn't be compensated with an EQ.

well something you need to keep in mind, the alpine 7995 has no internal amp, so you'll need to install an outboard amp.
on speakers, you need to listen before buying, speakers are very subjective and you'll like different brands depending on your music preferences.

I have the 7995... if you're getting a good price, then go for it. The reason I asked about MP3's is if you don't use them, this head unit is overkill. This is of course offset by the sweet deal you may be getting. As Mgiang7 stated, you will need an external amp.
I currently use a JL 300/4 for my BA Pro 6.5's and a JL 10" sub. The only reason I'm selling the Stealthbox is a sound/video upgrade will be taking place soon. Very soon!

I have Alpine HU, upgraded Lucid door speakers, and rear speakers (one already blown after about 9 months) and even have the added dash controller for $90.
Advice: Save the $90 dollars/hardly ever use the dash controller now, get the wiring from lucid for the rear speakers and forget the speaker/rear panel combo (which will save you about another $90) and then invest in some really great speakers for the door and the rear and just mount the rear speakers yourself, many people have done this already and in the Northern Tx forum there is an easy to follow clear instructions.
Honestly, the Alpine HU pumps out enough juice for me so I really don't need an amp unless you want some serious thumps then you'll want Skip's JL stealth subs. My problem is/was I had a blow out once and want/need to keep my spare in it's place and the tools, and also I work as a personal trainer (2nd job for fun) so I need my trunk space.
Good luck!

Just a side note - I've read some posts about how easily to blow Lucid's rear panel speakers up with aftermarket HU or external amps. Friend of mine, jfys2k, had a pair of those and one blew up soon after the addition of an Alpine headunit. And now LT's post added another one to the book.
I did my whole S2000 by my self and it is cake, i have rockfrod fosgates in the fronts and thats it, with a sony head unit model Mex5di-it runs around a $1000..... and also have an ammp running 2 my speakers and it sounds greaaat...
