Default Sticking gears while decelerating

Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone could give me a little insight. My car is a 2000, with 50k. Completely stock drivetrain.

The problem is that occasionally when I am decelerating, I push in the clutch to downshift, the tranny tries to stick in gear and doesn't like to come out until the RPMs drop down. It intermittently does this, it's not constant. It will come out of gear, but not without a little effort. Up shifts are fine. Any ideas? It almost feels like the clutch isn't disengaging. The clutch doesn't slip or anything and the fluid is fine. Maybe i can adjust the pedal? The only other thing that comes to mind is a tranny/motor mount because its trying to stick in gear when the car is decelerating, so the load is going towards the front of the car. I tried to find other threads with similar issues but the ones that I found were not resolved. Any help would be great!

Thanks guys, Steve.

The shifter doesn't want to disengage or the clutch?

You should be able to get the car out of gear without even touching the clutch at any given time. When was the fluid last changed?

It'll come out of gear, you can just tell that there's a "snag" per say, that you can tell is not normal.

I would suggest go with your first instict and check the tranny/motor mount first. Check for any sign of leak also.

Good luck.

Not sure if this is what you are describing, but thought I'd offer it: https://www.s2ki.com/home/2010/03/11...rease-shifter/

Sounds like a motor mount.
