Sounds like a hardtop is in order for you. 

as much as i like the soft top, i'll probably end up getting a hard top if/when I get a roll bar.

FTR, Cale has a custom fabricated roll bar from a local shop.
its further back than most, but not quite as high. Id recomend the HD bar to anyone looking for a bar... best bang for the buck.
