Red face Suspension Gurus - Alignment Spec

Had my car aligned maybe 3 weeks ago...and I've been meaning to post the specs up to get peoples thoughts because I had some concerns of my own.

I have an 08 CR, lowered on Espelir ASD. I am running 17x8/+47 with 215/45/17 & 17x9/+44 with 255/40/17 Dunlop Direzzas.

Fenders rolled & inner rear bumper lip trimmed.

Front Left
Camber: -0.5
Caster: 6.9
Toe: 0.02

Front Right
Camber: -0.6
Caster: 7.0
Toe: 0.01

Front
Cross Camber: 0
Cross Caster: -0.1
Cross SAI: 0.7
Total Toe: 0.03

Rear Left
Camber: -2.2
Toe: 0.03

Rear Right
Camber: -2.3
Toe: 0.01

Rear
Cross Camber: 0.1
Total Toe 0.04

My Goal:
To mainly fix a little tire rubbing issue on the rear and I think it fixed the rubbing problem 90%. It still rubs on dips on the highway, but only really big ones that I rarely hit or at least try to avoid at all times. I planned on auto-xing but, seems that I don't have time for that at the moment. I'm just taking advantage of meeting people in Mid-A people at these meets/mod days, before I move out of the east coast in June

My thoughts:
Very responsive on turns. Really fun on on/off ramps...but I can throw the tail out really easy.

It's a bit tail happy and on high speeds 80+ the rear end feels a little light. On high speed curvy roads that you can normally drive on about 70-80+ mph it can get a little chancy.

For Example, to those that drive on 495N from exits 29-34 Rockville Pike it gets a bit windy and fun to drive onto. My VSA is blinking repeatedly when I'm at about 85 mph as I make these big wide curves on the highway and it feels a bit scary at times during those turns. A friend in another Stock S2000 who was ahead of me at about 100+ and he's fine no issues whatsoever.

My future plans:
Already ordered new wheel setup, 17x7.5/+50 & 17x9/+63. Will be running 225/45/17 & 255/40/17. I am thinking about going back to OEM CR specs or maybe even UK specs. Then again after I make these changes it will most likely change again when I purchase coilovers, but this is what I'm thinking of right now. For now, since this new wheel setup should have no rubbing issues I might just go for OEM, just to save tire life.

Just wanted peoples thoughts on the specs or any recommendations

I'll throw the UK Spec Sheet in for those who aren't familiar.

Definitely need more camber up front. Bump it up to -1.5. Look in the R&C thread and you'll find most guys are running a bit more camber up front. I think with only -.5 you're probably not utilizing the entire contact patch and probably starting to roll over to the sidewall a little bit. I suspect with hard driving you'll find the outsides of the tire wearing more than the inside. I'd say rear camber looks just fine. I'm not sure if I'm the best judge though as I run a lot of camber all the time. Not excessive but more than most.

That's what I was thinking too after looking these spec sheets side-by-side. Thanks

I agree, not enough camber up front as compared to the back, you want them closer. Also, a little toe in out back would help settle the back end down a bit.

You also need to look at adding more rear toe in, especially when you're rear is feeling loose in turns (and you have a CR spoiler)

Oh yeah I didn't even see your rear toe setting. For toe I always just use the factory setting front and rear. It seems to work very well and doesn't seem to make the car unstable. I also run a non-staggered 255 setup. I have not done any high speed driving trying to make turns above 80mph though so I can't really comment on stability with my alignment but I will say the car feels absolutely great at 65-70mph.

sounds good, i'm going to try and ask if i could sit in the driver seat as they make adjustments. I'm thinking of just going with UK spec and going from there.

Your'e probably need to relocate the rear bumper tab as i still rubbed on that on hard bump when i had soft suspension.

my setup now

spoon N1 coilovers with 18k front and 16k rear springs
17x8 +47 front and 17x9 +44 rear
i have a 245/40/17 front and a 255/40/17 rear
alignment specs

Front
-2.2 camber
max caster
0.15 toe out

rear
-2.5 camber
0.15 toe in

and the car now feels great. it turns in really well and is a very neutral car. i love doing on/off ramps all the time to practice trailbraking and see how much i can grip.

this has been my setup for the past dragon event and the car did awesome.

its not rubbing on the bumper tab or bumper at all...it's rubbing on the inner fender, just a hair though.

my fenders are rolled...but it has maybe a little less than 0.25" to be "flattened/rolled".

I'm not sure if I can adjust the camber even more, but my CR is my daily...so tire wear is a bit of my worries
