I actually got yanked over the other day for no front tag. First time ever. He asked were my front plate was, and I said I took it off for a car show that I was in recently. He said "didn't I pull you over the other day for this"? because the other guy said the same thing!"

Now I have the front plate under my seat, and I'm waiting for the bolts to put it back on.

Not having mine on actually helped me (I guess...) He gave me a warning for speeding (would have been a $155 fine), and ticketed me for no front plate ($50.) He saved me $105, what a nice chap! The only problem is since he lives in my regular driving area I am kind of forced to keep it on

airgate , I like your setup. Looks very nice. I wonder if it would hinder a SC'ed setup???

I got pulled over for speeding a few weeks ago at night, the cop went right to the front of my car with his flashlight and checked! When he asked me where my front plate was, I explained that it was in my trunk because I lost the screws. Of course, he didn't ask anything else or act liked he cared and still gave me a ticket for speeding AND no front plate.

Well, I said he acted like he didn't care, but I could swear as I signed the ticket he had a big bulge in his pants probably couldn't wait to get home to his wife or boyfriend to relive his big moment

I removed my front plate after BlackS2Turbo started making fun of it. That was in August, and I've not been stopped for it.

That said, the car's been in the shop for much of the fall. I'm hoping that -- b/c I'm older than many of you guys and my car looks pretty stealth, depsite the 3" honking cans out the back -- I can get away with the, "it interferes with airflow to the intercooler" excuse and they'll let me slide.

I posted this in the previous thread, but here it is again. My prepared "excuse" for not having my front tags is that my front tag bracket broke and the new one is on order. To further substantiate this claim I did the following:

I disassembled the stock bracket to make it look broken. Then I "ordered" a new bracket (from Mystic Honda on-line) and printed the order confirmation. I immediately cancelled that order, and threw both the "damaged" bracket, tag and my order confirmation in the car behind the passenger seat. Now, if I get pulled over, I hope to have a REALLY good story/excuse with "proof".

I told the dealership that if they even installed the bracket, I wasn't taking the car. They kindly left it in the trunk for me.

S2KTerpNut - been there, done that. The cop that stopped me did not even want to look at my front plate in the trunk, nor the broken frame.

It all comes down to the cop and how much a dick he is.....
