w1ngman- you had the plate cut and professionally installed? the stock frame will fit snug with a single notch at the bottom of the frame, then the stock plate just attaches to it, what do you think, i think it's towards the bottom of the thread...

Looks nice! I had my license plate initially installed that way. That "at that [full] size" it took up easily 1/3rd of the entire mouth of the radiator/grille, I opted to have Coastal Metals cut down as much unnecessary trim of the license plate as possible...and still keep the cops off my back. Again, the install you have there looks great. No overheating for you either, I take it?

I was ticketed once, but the cop was being a total jerk - almost wrote me a repair order because "Hondas don't come with blue headlights". Idiot. Anyway, I used jfys2k's excuse when I got stopped for speeding and it worked like a charm - leave the tag in the trunk and bend it up a bit. Just say someone backed into it in a parking lot and you're waiting to get a new bracket (on order from the dealership).

The ticket is $50, I think. "Failure to attach tags front and rear" it reads.

I've had the car for nearly 3 years now, daily driver (when it's not in the friggin shop, as it still is now :-P)

Good luck!

OK the tag and frame is coming off, next question. Where do you get the little thingy's to cover the holes in the bumper?

Or is this another example of the Sales guys not knowing what they are talking about, saying the Honda does not sell these hole covers

First try...(and possibly for free), would be to check some local Honda dealerships. Sometimes in their prepping, they don't leave the LP plugs in the cars the sell. Might be that they have some laying around.

Second choice (and the one I took): H and A Accessories -- Front Bumper Plugs. Just scroll ~ 3/4 of the way down their page & you'll see the plugs. H and A is a www.s2ki.com sponsor. Also have a number of other goodies on that page that might tickle your fancy

My tags have never been on! Some previous thoughts at: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...&threadid=87363.

Got my plugs from Eddie at Jim Coleman Honda. I understand most dealerships will have a box of them somewhere.
