As Taska's daily driver recently bit the dust, we purchased a clean little 2003 Dodge Neon SXT. However, with my purchase I unfortunately have to appreciate of the greaaaaaat joys of purchasing a used vehicle in today's market -- at least in our case, the purchase came with only one transponder key for for the car. It makes sense for us to get at least one more transponder key. I can purchase transponder blanks relatively cheap on ebay. But I would still need the blank transponder key cut, and more importantly the transponder key programmed for use for this car.

Sooooo...is there anyone in the Mid-A region that has a direct or close association with a Dodge service/dealership that might be able to help me out? My understanding is that as a service, typically programming these keys is rather costly. Obviously, I'd just as soon avoid...costly .

Update... I've just purchased 2 blank transponder keys for this vehicle. I should receive them within 1 week.

Dave, I've had to have my keys mated to "new" ecu's for the S2000. The last one cost me $50 with zero hookup. And congrats!
