Fairfax has the most unitelligent and indecisive drivers I have ever seen. It takes a full mile of road to get up to the 35-45 mph speed limit, and a right turn with an arrow takes 2 minutes to complete.
I tell people to not expect me to be anywhere between 5-7:30 m-f because I WILL not drive during that time.... it's traffic everywhere you look and it's all caused by people who take their sweet time getting through a green light.

No, but that is Virginia Beaches biggest concern. Getting 25-35 yr old white suburban families to vacation here. The local government hates Greek Week. They want to have a family oriented Miami beach. They spend too much on ridiculous campaigns, promotions, and improvements (that dont improve anything) and scrape by with the DOT. They have a surpluss of $220 million dollars. Only $10 mil of that to DOT. And I believe $10 mil to schools. I dont know where the other $200 mil is going. But its obvious they dont know what the hell they are doing.

Just stay out of Montgomery County. That's and extension of NOVA anyways.
