Thats a ok place to go and have some fun but it gets old with all the dudes trying to get there swag on every girl and the drinks are pretty pricey! But the good thing is that there are like 3 clubs put together as well. If you never go to Myrtle Beach or never been I would at least go once! Golf is amazing down there

Chad - the hotel I've always stayed in the 4 times i've been there is the Ammons Seamist Resort. It's on 12th, oceanfront, right on the strip, but far enough down where you don't get the ridiculous strip traffic, but close enough to it that you can walk.

Definitely not the waldorf, just a nice clean place that won't bust your bank.

Hey Chad, I decided to check again without my discount and I still happened to find some Marriotts with low rates.

This one is $109 a night.

This one is $119 a night.

They both have complimentary parking.

Rob, I might get your number before I leave... you might occasionally get a call asking for some recommendations. We do know that we really want to go to Landrys while we are there... had it in Orlando and loved it!
Any particular bars/clubs you'd recommend?

I'm at work right now, but when I get in tonight I'll take a look at the hotel recommendations from Evan and Dan. Really appreciate your help guys!!!

Quick little bump.

It's been known that I'm a huge procrastinator, except when it comes to selling car parts.

The trip has been changed to Thursday, July 9 through Sunday, July 12th.

We're leaving in two days and I've still yet to book any hotel. Been doing a bit more searching through the list and not certain where we'd like to stay.

New requirement is something on the beach. We're really looking for something that we can walk out the back of the hotel and step on to sand! We'd "LIKE" based off everyone's recommendation to be close to Broadway at the Beach too...

any new recommendations?

Go to hotwire.com and search for hotels in Myrtle Beach for the dates you mentioned. There's a 3-star hotel available in the Myrtle Beach South area for $102 a night that is beachfront, and somewhat "close" to Broadway at the Beach based on the area map that hotwire gives you. By "close," it looks like you'd have to drive maybe 2 miles or so to get to Broadway at the Beach (based on cross-checking the hotwire area map against google maps for Broadway at the Beach; not sure if that's close enough for you).

(if you've never used hotwire before, they give you a description of the general area and the amenities the hotel has, the star-rating for the hotel and the room rate, but they don't tell you which hotel it is until after you've booked it).

There are also other choices on hotwire for Myrtle Beach but only a few are beachfront (hover your cursor over the amenities icons to get a description of what they mean; beachfront is the icon with the beach umbrella over rippling water). I think the $102/ night option above is the cheapest of the ones that are beachfront and possibly closest to BATB.

Good luck and have fun whatever you go with
