Verizon nuked my phone today attempting to upgrade the firmware.

They also didn't back up my contacts

So everyone w/ my number I'm asking to text me or PM me with yours.

they were all like "we had to replace your phone"

I replied "haha you bricked it didn't you"

he was glad I didn't go off on him as "most people would've".

 

If you go through the Get It Now section on your phone there is an application that allows you to send all your contact information to their server and then if you ever break or lose your phone the server can send it back to your new phone. It's $1.99 a month (which is BS to charge monthly), but probably well worth it.

 

it's not that big of a deal... with email and forums I can get most of my contacts back

 

I should just get a data cable and hack the shit haha

 

Even more, if you are not careful...

 

A Data Cable and BitPim (free open source software) will backup all your contacts to your computer for you.

The data cable is like $5.00 through eBay.
