We have Canadians in attendance every time - if they can do it, you can.

It really is worth it, you would never believe that they would actually build a road like this. S2000s come from all around, I couldn't go last year but I think its usually anywhere from around 60-120 S2000s depending on the year.

While we sit here reading and typing today...mid-January...still feeling some warmth from last summer on our skin..." Just remember, that come mid-April...we will ALL have had 110% of our absolute-most-fill of winter doldrums. And a road like The Tail of The Dragon (318 turns in 11 miles!!!) is just the ticket for winter's cabin fever. Seriously, for anyone that has driven their own familar country back roads...try a quick mental count of the turns you might have made to enjoy that local semi-flat stretch of road. 50?...150 even?...over, what 40 miles or so? Now, try to re-wrap your head around these stats: THREEHUNDREDANDEIGHTEEN turns in ELEVEN miles! You are going to finish turning your steering wheel left-to-right-to-left-to-right THAT many times...in about 20 minutes give-or-take. And it is ANYTHNG BUT semi-flat. (I'll preface the next comment noting that *typically* you are going to be traveling at speeds anywhere from 35mph to 55mph -- the *posted* speed is 35...or maybe even 30 now?) Still, appreciate that there are sooooooo many turns...and soooooooo few straights... Okay, here's just one example: there is *one* stretch where I've jumped up to something over 80mph...but it is immediately met with a hard-brake-slam-down-to-1st-gear 180 degree switchback cambered into a turn that then sends you up a 30% ascent hill with 2nd wound out to the rev-limiter b/c shifting to third will be pointless since you are now coming into a series of turns that still need 2nd, but back at 5K. Then up again, and around, and...and... Okay, think the baddest-ass-roller-coaster you might build...except a chain doesn't drag you up the hills. And if all that wasn't enough...*that's* just going UP one side of the mountain. THEN you get to go DOWN the OTHER side!!! Now its all about gas...but BREAK TOO, cuz now all those same turns going downhill make you feel like your S2000's trunk is laying on the back of your neck and you need to keep the nose of the car pointed between the onions & the mustard while keeping the rear end directly behind you. It can be quite exhilarating if you were *just* experiencing it 'by yourself'. But no, you are doing this with S2000s in front of you...S2000s behind you....S2000s beeping horns and waving as they fly past you in the other direction! [...then rinse-n-repeat in the other direction, and back again, and again, and again]. A person can come back home from that 10-ish hour drive, realizing they now need a fresh set of tires and have worked of a nice bit of brake pads

Its just... Well, its really an experience not to be missed!

See everyone there this April!

Here's a youtube from nihonno: http://www.youtube.c...h?v=7ZUUTqTUk34

(search for more if you'd like...I think his offers a fair representation of the turns, expectations of the road). I have not watched 100% of it, so *if* he crossed into oncoming lane and I didn't see it, let me be the first to say that is an absolute no-no on this road (you have to respect the needs of on-coming road enthusiasts...as well as general traffic -- this stretch of road *IS* a public road, not a closed racecourse!). To give some 'speed' perspective to the linked video (when video playback can otherwise do a poor job of simulating speed), I feel 100% confident that at around 3:00 into the video...when you see him come up to a minivan...that minivan is very likely driving the POSTED SPEED limit.

And here's a fun link below of killboy on The Dragon with his S2000:

I'd let you borrow mine for a run or 2, but I've seen your pictures from the dragon.
