Shoudld be a quick thread...

I have a 2002 S2000 with the single cupholder center console--not the double on the AP2. Behind (to the rear of the car) this cupholder is a void that I use to hold my cell phone. I have seen some pictures of other cars from my year and there are buttons in this void. I have never seen a close enough picture to see what these buttons are for. Does anyone have these in their cars? What are they for?

 

It's more common the 00' AP1. Either the left or the right button is used when an individual has installed a hardtop - it is the defroster button!

 

It's for the hardtop defroster kit for 2000 S2000's under a certain VIN#.

 

Interesting, I saw it in a Car and Driver review for a 2002 model. Did not see the hard top in the review, but who know how they get these cars. Thanks for the help. Has anyone else seen this button used for anything different?

 

ive seen pics of an install where someone did heated seats and put the buttons there, the pics are on here somewhere, it was a really clean install
